Leonida Silao

Community Support Coordinator

Leonida joined Networx in 2019 with 9 years of experience in the social work field. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she moved to San Diego to obtain her B.A. in Communication Studies and English. Since then, she’s committed most of her adult career to helping emotionally and behaviorally challenged teenagers as a Child Care Counselor/Mental Health Worker. She’s gained rapport with adolescents from this demographic in residential programs, emergency screening units, day treatment programs, and the Sweetwater Union High School District. She supervised the main residential unit she worked at for two years before working with children grades K-8 at a Special Education school within the San Diego Unified School District as a Rehabilitation Specialist.

Leonida found an opportunity to become a Coordinator at Networx to keep building on previous experience by providing support services to adults with developmental disabilities. She is enthralled to continue her endeavors in helping others to help themselves, and is grateful that Networx provided her an avenue to do so.
